ABOUT US
Our mission is to farm an organic and sustainable
way to provide fresh vegetables and products to the
surrounding community. As farmers dedicated to
organic practices, we use:
- no dangerous pesticides or herbicides
- no chemical fertilizers
- no genetically modified organisms
Most vegetables and fruit you buy from the store
travel an average of 2500 miles before they reach
your table. We harvest on our 2 1/2 acres of fertile
Texas soil, so our own Garden Harvests produce
comes no farther than the distance you drive to get
here.
Occassionally we will bring in other organic and
conventional crops to supplement what we grow in
Midlothian.
OUR MISSION
Local Organic Grower
Our organic vegetables are great for
the environment and for your personal
healthy eating pleasure. We often
harvest our own crops that morning for
the fresh produce that you can be
eating that very day!
We are dedicated to the concept of
being a local and convenient provider to
the community. In order to fulfill your
needs and to supplement our own
crops, we will sometimes bring in organic
produce from our partner growers in
surrounding areas, East and West
Texas, and from California.
All in all, we strive to follow strict organic
practices in growing and harvesting. So
you don't have to worry about harmful
chemicals, fertilizers, and artificial
stimulators being part of your diet.
This conforms to the ideals promoted by
the Texas Organic Farmers & Growers
Association.
Bill Petter, our farmer friend from
just across the road, uses his
1947 Oliver tractor to make new
furrows in the Garden Harvests
field as we expand for more
planting and more crops.
Jessica Longoria, our helper, is
seen here busy watering our
crop of newly-planted red
potatoes.
